CEDH

Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy

Founded in 1972, the CEDH offers training tailored to progressive levels of clinical homeopathy. Our purpose is to give physicians the most reliable knowledge of homeopathy in a clear, pragmatic and clinical approach. We train nearly 3,000 physicians each year in more than 20 countries. Our worldwide teaching college is made up of 150 physicians, general practitioners and specialists, each with advanced experience in homeopathic clinical practice and trained in the latest learning tools.

Why study homeopathy?

Prescribed by hundreds of thousands of physicians world-wide, homeopathy is one of the most widely practiced medicines in the world and is progressing rapidly. Patients are increasingly in search of safe and natural alternatives. Homeopathic medicines present multiple advantages:

  • Clinically used for more than 200 years
  • Safe, non-toxic and without side effects
  • No interference with other medicines

Homeopathic medicines, regulated as drugs by the FDA1, can be used as first-line treatment for a large number of acute or chronic conditions, either alone or in conjunction with conventional medicines

The teaching methodology of the CEDH is based on:

  • Medical clinical reality
  • Homeopathic medicines as a therapeutic choice, based on their place in conjunction with other therapeutic possibilities
  • Reliability of the sources
  • References to current medical knowledge

What is clinical homeopathy?

  • Homeopathy has been built on experience and observation; it was a pioneer in the emergence of clinical concepts. Therefore, it is a natural integral part of today’s medicine.
  • The method for prescribing homeopathic drugs is the clinical method.
  • In medicine, homeopathy is a therapeutic amongst all other potential therapeutics.
  • The clinical indications found in the Materia Medicas are those considered as:
    - Reliable, validated in clinical practice
    - Consistent with current medical knowledge and the possibilities available with other therapeutics.
  • The clinical and extra-clinical symptoms guiding the prescription of homeopathic medicines are not just limited to those of the disease.  They include all symptoms uncovered during the clinical observation, including the ones arising from the patients individual reactions and those describing their characteristics and medical history, aside from their disease.
  • No system, method or classification can accurately take into account the specificity of each patient, nor replace the necessary experience of each physician.
  • Homeopathy is able to bring answers to the issues arising from cost-efficient care management such as reducing prescriptions  for antibiotics (ENT pathologies in children) but also anxiolytics and hypnotic drugs (anxiety, stress).
  • Thanks to its semiological and therapeutic approach of the patient’s terrain and individual sensitivity, homeopathy allows for a more comprehensive diagnosis adapted to each patient’s case.:
perimenopause, seasonal allergy prevention, migraine management, etc.
  • In addition to classic therapeutics, homeopathy can improve patients' care with the design of a healthcare project tailored to their specific needs: hyperactive children, oncology patient follow-up, fibromyalgia, etc.
